just in case you'd like to get to know me more, here are some commonly asked questions! feel free to ask more through my contact me page.
I am a junior at Wartburg College, a school I absolutely love. The college has given me so many opportunities to get involved and stay active. Some things I've been involved in here include golf, dance team, band, basketball and wrestling manager, Wartburg Ambassadors, and Homecoming Committee. I am the student director of Wartburg College Service Trips, marketing coordinator for the Volunteer Action Center, sponsorship director for Wartburg College Dance Marathon, student coordinator for Orientation, and a Baldwin Leadership Fellow. I work for KnightVision, where we livestream and broadcast events on campus, the Admissions office, and the local golf course. I can't sit still!
That's Tyler. He's awesome. We met my freshman year when I had to find a guy to be my dance partner for a co-ed dance. Little did I know he'd turn into my best friend! We've been together for about two years now, so shoutout Wartburg for that. Tyler is probably the funniest and nicest guy you'll ever meet. God sure gave me a good one. It's funny. When I was younger I would write to God about the man I'd want to be with and marry someday. It's nice reading back on those now, knowing that God gave me exactly that.
As discussed on my homepage, I have every day of my life documented starting at the age of 13. Each night I write to God and thank Him for the day, talk about what I did and what I learned. I write about any worries or thoughts I have that I want to give to Him. If I'm excited about something, I write about it. If I'm upset about something, I write about it. If I'm hungry, I write about it. Haha. Just kidding. That would be like every night. But I just love to do it. Writing, that is. I love looking back and laughing at what I said or did, and I love to see how I've grown over the years.
I also write to my siblings. I try to include a verse or a quote each night. I give them advice, tell them I love them, and write about how special and capable they are. If we did something together that day, I always make sure to write about that too.
I am the oldest of four with three younger siblings. Dollie and Bubba (Mollie and Makade) are twins and are in sixth grade already!! Crazy. Kenza Lenza (Makenzie) is a freshman this year. Also crazy. I love them all so much. Makenzie is very headstrong - she works really hard at getting what she wants. Makade is stubborn - he sure has a hard head. And a really big heart. Mollie is sweet and sassy all in one. She's pretty much like a mini version of me. Mom and Dad are the hardest workers I know. They do everything they can to provide for our family. We also have two dogs: Ginger and Joey. They both have their moments. Annnnnd don't even ask me how Mollie talked Dad into getting a bearded dragon, but sure enough we have one of those as well. God blessed me with the best!
My family of course! And Tyler. Above all this, God. He's the Man. I love the outdoors, camping, and fishing. I love working out - running is my go to. I love sports. I played basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf in high school. I love to ride my bike (I call her Huffy). I love country music, although I can still bust a move to other genres. I obviously love writing. Service is super important to me. I love helping other people and being there for them. I love laughing and smiling and sometimes making stupid jokes that I still find funny. I love praying and praising Jesus and I love His love. I love traveling and exploring. I love leading and inspiring. I love art. I love to be creative. I love to sing and dance in front of the mirror in the morning when I'm getting ready. I love being goofy and weird and jamming out in the car as people drive by. I love ice cream. And food in general. I love Harry Potter and the Hunger Games. New Girl also cracks me up. The list could go on and on and on. I love a lot of things. I LOVE LIFE.
