Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

For Him

Valentine's Day Gift Guide (For Him)

1. Write him a card.

Men want to know they are valued, respected, noticed, and appreciated! This may seem simple, but write him a note! Make an old-school Valentine’s Day card. Use it as an opportunity to express and acknowledge all that he does for you and the fam!

2. Get a massage gun.

My husband got one of these for Christmas! For only $30, you can give your hands a break and let the massage gun release some tension for your hubby!

3. Buy new work apparel.

Most men appreciate a good polo. These polos are only $9, and with a 4.4 star rating and over 27,000 reviews, I’d say it’s a safe buy!!

4. Make a photo book.

Our dating anniversary actually falls on Valentine’s Day, so I made it a tradition to make a photo book each year and gift it to my husband! It’s so sweet to flip through it together and reminisce on all the blessings the last year had! I usually customize our photo books through Shutterfly, but I found these nice linen photo albums for $10 on Amazon that I think would be perfect for a gift like this!

5. Get & fill a new lunch cooler.

Every wife knows it doesn’t take long for a work lunch cooler to get a little grubby. Surprise him with a new one, and fill it with his favorite snacks! This one is on sale for $14!

6. Serve breakfast in bed.

Who doesn’t love to be surprised with some breakfast in bed? I’ve been so blessed when Tyler has done this for me! These trays are perfect for serving up a delicious meal for your sweet man!

7. Get him his favorite drink.

We really like bubbl’rs here in our house! Something small like this could really bless a man, so go get his favorite drink and maybe include a little on it too!

8. Surprise him with lunch at work.

Fill up the tupperware (we love this kind), and bring him a surprise meal at work! He’ll love the thoughtful gesture and will be blessed by your heart of serving him!

For Her

Valentine's Day Gift Guide (For Her)

1. Write her a card.

Don’t underestimate the power of words! Women want to know they are seen and appreciated! Make an old-school Valentine’s Day card. Use it as an opportunity to express and acknowledge all that she does for you and the fam!

2. Get her a candle & candy!

Ditch the flowers, & go for her favorite treat! Everyone knows the heart-shaped Reese’s are better than the original - I’ve linked a 1 lb. bar so maybe you can have some of it too :) Light a candle while you’re at it!

3. Buy a new robe.

I didn’t realize how much I needed a robe until I got one after having our daughter - she will love this! Bonus points if you get it in her favorite color.

4. Get that book she’s been wanting.

I have had SO many people tell me how much they love this book, and it has definitely been on my list! Get her something she’s been really wanting to read!

5. Make a photo book.

Tyler has printed out photos in the past and written notes about them, and I still remember it to this day! Getting a photo book like this and filing it up with sweet moments of you two could be a gift she’ll remember forever! I usually customize our photo books through Shutterfly, but I found these nice linen photo albums for $10 on Amazon that I think would be perfect for a gift like this!

6. Get a couple’s devotional and commit to doing it together.

Tyler and I went through a devotional after having our first, and I have linked it for you! I can’t express how much it meant to read through this together each night.

7. Buy some bath bombs and prep a bath!

Sometimes a girl just needs a bath and some time to decompress and relax! Surprise her by prepping a bath and throwing in one of these moisturizing bath bombs!

8. Grab a journal & write a note inside!

Get her a journal to show you care about her thoughts and dreams! Be sure to write a nice note inside to surprise her!

For the Littles

Valentine's Day Gift Guide (For Littles)

1. Heart-shaped glasses

I got some heart-shaped glasses for our sweet girl (Target has them for like $1)! Make the day fun & festive with a pair of these - and maybe get some to match :)

2. Fun Valentine pajamas

We’re getting Hazel some Valentine pajamas, and I think it’s such a cute, fun idea for kiddos! You can make the day special by letting them sleep in them the night before!

3. A new spring jacket

Spring is right around the corner (woohoo!), so consider getting a spring jacket in their fav color!

4. Valentine’s Day puzzle

Give them a fun activity to do with you on this special day! Our daughter absolutely loves Mickey, and I love that these pieces are sturdy and thick so they can remain durable.

5. Bathtub crayons

We got these for Hazel’s birthday, and SHE LOVES THEM! Make the day special by writing a sweet note to your kiddo before they jump in the tub!

6. Finger nail polish

Have a spa day, and do her nails! Make it extra festive by painting red or trying out some hearts.

7. Make a Valentine’s breakfast.

I bought some blueberry muffins and are using some Valentine’s Day muffin cups to make an extra fun Valentine’s Day breakfast for our sweet girl! Go the extra mile and make heart-shaped pancakes while you’re at it!

Valentine’s Date Night Ideas

Need something different than dinner at a restaurant this Valentine’s Day? Here are some fun date night ideas to consider.

Valentine's Date Night Ideas

1. Have a game night.

A game night with friends or just for you two as a couple is always fun! Some friends got us hooked on Catan, and now it’s our go-to game every time we want to play something!

2. Go for a walk.

Get outside for some fresh air and a nice conversation with your spouse. Pick a new route you haven’t walked before and just joyfully be in one another’s presence.

3. Recreate a memorable date.

I’ll never forget the night my husband drove to his old college house and parked outside of it as we reminisced on all the memories made there. Go back to a sweet memory together and relive it!

4. Have dinner over candlelight.

Light a candle, and cook a meal together! Make it fancy with some special place settings/dinnerware.

5. Make a bucket list together.

Take some time to write out your goals as a couple. Dream together, and get some of your hopes and desires on paper!

6. Leave a sticky note trail.

I love it when Tyler leaves sticky notes for me around the house. Get creative and write some notes, leading your partner to the next one and maybe ending with a small gift/surprise!

7. Order takeout & ice cream.

Set up some blankets and pillows for a cozy spot at home where you can enjoy takeout and ice cream together! Maybe turn on a movie after and enjoy some time snuggling together!

8. Go thrift shopping.

Yep. You read that right. Hit up Goodwill or another thrift shop, and see what treasures you can find! Maybe pick out one item for each other that you HAVE to buy and wear!

9. Get coffee and exchange love letters.

If your evenings seem a little busy and chaotic, consider hitting up a coffee shop and write love letters to each other that you’ll then read out loud. Tyler and I did this at a marriage conference last year, and it was so, so sweet. Simply share what you’re thankful for in your partner and what you’re most looking forward to in your future.

10. Host a minute-to-win-it marathon.

My husband is the king of minute-to-win-it games. For my 23rd birthday he came up with a whole tournament! Need some ideas? Check out this option!
